Marilyn Von Savant has the highest IQ of a reported 228 yet there are so many multi-million celebrities that don't have super high IQ's who have accomplished so much more in their life.

I think most people would rather have the fame, the money, the accomplishments, and the popularity these celebrities have than simply scoring the highest on an IQ test or graduating from Harvard. A few Harvard grads become famous, but look at the majority that just end up having average lives that no one cares about.

These celebrities obviously have to be very intelligent, but if it is not IQ or educational background that makes them so gifted then what is it? Some may be above average in intelligence, but so are millions of Americans so what is it then that makes them accomplished ?

I tend to value a person based on what they accomplished in life, how much money they make, their fame and popularity, and their educational background. Looking at those celebrities and someone with a sky high IQ and nothing else I would much rather be one of those celebrities. Everyone wants to be remembered by millions for their tremendous accomplishments.

There is no doubt that IQ correlates with success, but yet it seems only a fraction of human intelligence. So many celebrities are geniuses in some other areas of intelligence that we don't know. They would have to be brillant to get to where they are. Even someone as smart as Bill Gates who reported has an IQ of 160 also must be a creative genius. I wonder if it was his IQ that got him where he is today or his creative intelligence? Look at all the Harvard students with perfect SAT scores with sky high IQ's who never become a Bill Gates or even close to it. There is obviously other ares of intelligence besides his IQ that he is also very gifted at.

For me, I support Aston Villa and it's because I was born into a family of Villans and just seemed to grow up going to Villa Park and watching them play, I even saw saw Ozzie Osbourne at Villa Park.

That happens to me all the time whenever I'm hearing a tune on the radio. It's my understanding the most common one is thinking Jimi Hendrix is really saying "Excuse me while I kiss this guy," rather than "Excuse me while I kiss the sky." I really love Guns'n'Roses, but I heard a few lives from this year's tour that really disappointed me... besides Axl's voice, nothing really makes me say "YES this is them".... so what do you guys think? worth it or not worth it?
